Victor Barrera
Huila, Colombia
Tabi is a cross between Typica, Bourbon and Timor varieties. One of its unique characteristics is that it combines coffee leaf rust resistance with the exceptional cup quality of Bourbon and Typica. Due to Tabi’s atypical way of growing more space between branches and cherry nodes- it’s easier to get the reddest and ripest cherries in the whole region.
No wonder this variety is named Tabi, meaning “good” in Guambiano, the dialect of a Colombian native tribe.
